Halloween Island

A blog for collective drawings, writings, etc. by The Recordists (www.recordism.com) and friends. The Recordists have been involved, either as participants or as hosts/organizers, in the playing of collective art and writing "games" for more than 25 years. Some of these games sessions/meetings have been casual gatherings of friends while others have been presented as public events open to anyone who might want to join in. Games such as the classic "cadavre exquis" are often included but a wide variety of other strategies have been incorporated, including some which were invented on the spot. It should be noted that, although one might view the results of these games and ludic activities as works of art and literature, it is not our intention to present them as such. Better to view them simply as evidence of experiments conducted in the interest of fun, friendship and Surrealist investigation.
